What Is a Sitemap?
A sitemap is a scheme of your website that helps search engines find, crawl, and index all of your website’s content. The main purpose of a sitemap is to tell search engines which pages on your site are most important.
Why are Sitemaps Important?
Google, Yahoo, Bing, and other search engines use your sitemap to find various pages on your site.
How to get your sitemap page
Step 1. You can access the Sitemap page from the left-hand sidebar of the Site Editor by clicking Settings:
Step 2. Hover over the “Search Engines” button and click it to open the Search Engines settings menu:
Step 3. Open the Sitemap.xml settings:
In case the website has been published, a link to the sitemap will be displayed in the sidebar.
- To open the page in a new tab, click on the link shown below:
- To copy the link to the clipboard, click the icon on the right. A tooltip will notify you of a successful copy:
Sitemap.xml will be created automatically after your website is published.
If the site has not been published yet, this page will post a message:
